1.0 out of 5 stars Oats not good
I am going to mail the product back. It didn't taste good at all. My husband couldn't eat it.

I have celiac disease and must adhere to a very strict gluten free diet. I routinely travel the extra distance to shop at the area health food stores which carry this item. I am thrilled to have finally found this item on line at a more reasonable price. This oatmeal is fantastic and now I am able to eat it daily with no problem. I was at first suspicious that it might not truly be a gluten free item because it is so tasty and is the exact consistency of the traditional Quaker Oats, so I called the company to check the lot number of the package. The company rep was informative and assured me the lot numbers were their product. She even told me that they had recently improved their milling process to make this product easier to microwave and cook with. I am so thankful for this oatmeal as a gluten free diet is very restrictive and I had not eaten oatmeal for 12 years because there was not a gluten free oatmeal on the market.

I am a lifelong celiac who has had to avoid oats. I ordered the Lara oats a few months ago to try them and have had great success. The oats themselves are high quality and taste very good. My wife likes having oats to use in baking again. Had them in meatloaf as well. I make oatmeal in the morning. I followed the suggestion on the box that you start slowly in incorporating them in your gluten-free diet, and have had no problems. I am back at the item now because I am placing another order. Enjoy.

These gluten free oats are amazing! very delicous and so much better than Bob's brand. I used them to make oatmeal, oat flour, oatmeal cookies and everything was delicous. Excellent product--highly recommended.

5.0 out of 5 stars Tasty, thick, gluten-free oats, September 15, 2009

As an oat lover newly diagnosed with celiac disease, I'm delighted to find gluten-fee oats. (Note: Mainstream oat distributors, notably Quaker, are quite clear that their oat products likely contain gluten due to cross-contamination.)

Lara's oats are thick (at least as thick as Quaker old fashioned oats) and quite tasty.

Incidentally, the packaging is good. The oats come inside a resealable plastic bag inside the box, so there is little risk of cross contamination in the pantry. (I've had problems with another gluten-free oat brand that sells on Amazon, where the boxes were quite leaky with oats floating everywhere, and there was no plastic bag.)

I'm not able to tolerate oats at all, but my husband likes Lara's Oats from Cream Hill Estates better than any other rolled oat he's ever eaten. They are creamy and sweet. We're very happy that Amazon carries them.

This is the best tasting gluten free oats out there. I'm impressed with their processing methods (no cross contamination) and highly recommend this great tasting product.

I haven't made "oatmeal" out of these, but we did use them to make homemade chocolate chip granola bars, and they were wonderful! They are a bit pricy but worth every penny.

This is a great gluten free oatmeal- cooks up really creamy, much creamer than non-GF oatmeal. The only drawback is you find the oat kernal/coating in the mix (like the popcorn kernals/skin you would find). Otherwise, a great product

My wife has a gluten allergy so we tried these and they're great. They don't get mushy like Quaker oats tend to do. So far I've only used them for oatmeal.

I am glad to have gluten-free rolled oats to eat. I would very much like to have steel cut gluten-free oats, perhaps Cream Hill Estates will produce that some day.
