Product Description

Package Quantity: 1

Ice Cream Magic is a new age innovation that helps make ice creams in just 3 minutes of time. It follows a unique scientific design which puts any flavor into ice cream using only ice, water, salt and flavor. It can make ice creams in three simple steps and can be started with adding ice cubes, water and little salt to start a deep freezing process inside the product. Add desired flavor and some cream should to be poured in the bowl that fits right above the ice cubes. Lastly the product needs to be shaken for about 3 minutes for a yummy ice cream. Ice Cream Magic is a wonderful product and can be used by anyone and can be a shake your ice cream activity in party for kids. The best part is any type of recipe can be added to create a personal and unique ice cream flavor. The cream can be low fat and low sugar to make ice creams which are healthier than the ones sold outside which carry harmful ingredients and might not be even fresh. Plus it is smaller than other products and needs no power source making it handy to take it practically anywhere.

I have two small children who saw this on a commerical, and of course were asking for it over and over. I found it at the store and bought it. After 6 tries, we were able to get it to make ice cream, but that was after finding out that you needed heavy cream, not just "cream" like they say in the commerical, calling the company and playing with the receipe.
Here is the receipe to make soft serve.

We made chocolate..
2 TBS of water (not 4)
2 TBS of salt (not 4)
crushed ice to the line

For the ice cream, we followed the directions for chocolate.
Then, I was the one who had to shake it for 5 min, scrape down the sides, and continue to shake for another 2 minutes.
To know that it is really working, the outside should feel really cold and almost have a frost on it.

In the end, you get a small scoop of ice cream, but again it is soft serve. The commerical makes it look like you are going to have it filled to the top and that is not the case.

As a parent, it is really upsetting to disappoint your children to the point that I had to do the whole thing myself to make sure they could be happy with the end product. I hope that this helps those who weren't able to make it the first time.

Ok I read the reviews and bought these things anyway. In part because I did find some reviews that said the same thing I'm saying now. Read the instructions. Can you use regular cream? Yes, however IN THE INSTRUCTIONS, it clearly states that the lower the fat content the less solid it will be. Common sense would lead you to heavy cream one would think. It also says crushed ice works best, AND to stop and stir it. Finally, the instructions state that the colder the ingredients are the better it works. I put the heavy cream in the freezer for a bit. I did all of those things. I actually stirred it about every minute. We got ice cream hard enough to hold a metal spoon upright in. The lid does in fact lock closed, so whoever wrote that didn't pay attention to the product and was just too lazy to really look at the thing. Does it make a ton of ice cream? No, but it's fun, and my 5 yr old twins love it. This is basically a TOY. You knew that going into it. It's for fun, not for a gallon of homemade gourmet ice cream, and not for lazy parents who just want to give their kids something and then walk away. I love them...my kids get ice cream without questionable ingredients, they have fun, and they have to work for it. A triple win in my book.

Got this for my daughter bday, she"s 12. every kid thinks the things on tv is what u get and this is not the case. we followed directions and she shook the cup for more than 3 mins, all she had was cold choc creamer, we replaced the ice and tried again... the cup is deceiving, the amount of space for cream holds about 3 ounces. not happy with product. save your money or go buy a ice cream maker for 20 bucks and have more than 4 teaspoons of ice cream

My six year old saw the ad for this product on television and saved up her own money to buy it. I warned her that products you see on television do not always work as well in real life, but she would not be deterred and bought it anyway.

I wish I could say that this product worked but it does not.

There are a number of problems with this product that contribute to its failure. For starters, the freezing bowl is too small to hold the ingredients are measured in the recipe guide... at best, you might get a third of a cup out of a successful run (but good luck getting a successful run).

Another design flaw is the lip of the device, there is no way a child could ever secure the lid since it doesn't really screw-on and it doesn't snap. Instead, you need to kind of finesse and balance it for a fit and a child cannot do that which means an adult has to.

Yet another flaw with the product is that after 12 minutes of constant shaking by an adult, we still did not have ice cream... maybe it could pass as a melted milkshake, but it was not ice cream and there was only about a third of a cup.

Only buy this product if you're looking to teach your child a lesson about the folly of believing advertising. If you want ice cream, go to the store. You'll be happier.

****this is narrated by my daughter and i am typing it*****
Our cousins bought it as a gift, we tried making it the next day. It tasted like milk instead of ice-cream. And it did not take 3 min. It was so little. So all you should do is read this review and not buy it. Because you are just wasting money and your time.

not worth the money. the volume of the cup that you put the cream in is really small, so you cant make much. even when it does work under the right conditions, you have to scrape the part of the mix that has frozen to the sides of the bowl. the directions indicate you should use 4 tablespoons of salt which seems a bit much for each time you are making a portion, and they say nothing about the need to scrape down the sides of the bowl to get all of the mixture to freeze.

im going to try making ice cream in a ziploc bag because it can make a lot more at one time. because you have more control over the contents of the bags, i expect that you wont have to worry as much about parts of the mix not freezing.
