5.0 out of 5 stars bar none-one of the greatest instrumentals of funk!!!!, May 9, 2004
This review is from: Cream (Audio CD)
the final two tracks of prince's cd maxi-single,'cream'tracks 8&9:'q in doubt'(instrumental)and 'ethereal mix'is perhaps one of the greatest instrumentals of funk!listen to these tracks back 2 back and admire these funk gems.true musicianship at its most highest level.the bass lines, keyboard wizardry-just sends chills down your spine.these two combined funkjams smoke from start 2 finish.it's a shame that black radio misses out on these two incredible back 2 back funkjams-the radio is not much listening to.prince's genius is still left undiscovered.the man is a musical genius alongside that of stevie wonder.these 2 tracks need 2 be rediscovered by hardcore prince fans because they have been awfully overlooked.funk at it's finest........
i give it five stars-an overlooked classic!

This review is from: Cream (Audio CD)
cream-prince's 1991 maxi-single contains 2 of the greatest instrumentals of funk ever recorded:tracks 8&9:'Q IN DOUBT(INSTRUMENTAL)'and 'ETHEREAL MIX'-listen to these funk masterpieces back 2 back-the brilliant musicianship:funky bass lines, incredible keyboard wizardry.this is pure modern funk at it's best.the funk of these two back 2 back jams heats up from start 2 finish-just sends chills down the spine!it's a shame that black radio ignores funk classics as these two jams.radio is not much listening 2-because all they play are just hits!
it's incredible on how narrow minded black radio can be to ignore these two classic funkjams.nevermind what they play on the radio because its a waste of time.there's incredible music that's everywhere and its best that u research and these two back 2 back prince funkjams are fine examples of prince's incredible genius.i rank prince with stevie wonder as a musical genius.these two tracks:'Q IN DOUBT(INSTRUMENTAL)'and 'ETHEREAL MIX'are bar none two of the greatest instrumentals of funk ever recorded in music history.i give it a 5 star rating!2 all prince fans,i suggest that u rediscover these two back 2 back funkjams

5.0 out of 5 stars there are 9 tracks on this RARE CD, April 22, 2010
This review is from: Cream (Audio CD)
I am not sure why they call this a "maxi-single", because it has 9 separate tracks. Released in 1991, it had a cardboard cover instead of plastic jewel case.

Each track differs in great ways! I love crankin' the whole CD in my car, just LOVE "Do Your Dance (KC's REMIX)" So if you love serious Prince grooves you can even dance to.. This remix CD is great! And with 9 tracks, you cant go wrong!

If you like Prince and can appreciate his creative instincts, you will thouroughly enjoy this cd. His vision is awesome and the funk spills over on this one. A must have for any true Prince fan.
