Not what I expected

I expected to find a collection of low cost ideas for making a beautiful backyard garden.
This book read more like an academic thesis on garden architecture.
It was difficult to read and either needed significant editing or the author is not a native English speaker and it showed in the text.
There were some gardening basics and internet links to on-line garden tools but was not particularly helpful to me.

I have a beautiful garden ... and didn't spend a fortune

It's two years since I read this book & spent a little on planters and a few plants. Sure some didn't make it through the winters, but I'm now enjoying a fantastic display of wonderful looking & smelling flowers.

I have one lily stem with 10.. yes.. ten! blooms. I'm very happy to have found this book and give me inspiration to build a few square metres of paradise.
