Create Your Own Greeting Cards and Gift Wrap with Priscilla Hauser is a great crafting how-to book, with ample colored photographs. It covers the basics without recommending that the crafter purchase every gadget on the market. It then provides six chapters on a variety of methods (i.e. printmaking, papermaking, quilling). Each chapter includes step-by-step directions for a few projects. The only negative I find with the book is that there are a few projects/examples that are too 1980s (the wearable art phase). But the techniques described are what's important. The crafter can update the colors/embellishments. Overall this is a great book with many inspiring ideas.

Every page is a winner. I turn to this book for ideas frequently for special cards for people I love, and beautiful ways to wrap gifts. She uses a lot of variety and styles
