the quality of the product is very very poor!
I ordered this product for my niece because she loves writing stories.
I was totally disappointed when I opened the box because of the quality of the books.
1) The pages of the book were stuck together.
2) There were glue on the pages of the edges of the book which made the pages stick together and which made the pages of the book look very untidy.
3) The pages of the book were glued unevenly - some were higher than the other.

The product was made with a lack of care - very very poor workmanship!

My 6 year old received this as a birthday present. I put off letting her take it out because I thought it would require a lot of time from me (I have 1 year old twins who I need to keep out of the way). I was completely wrong. All of the pop-up features use stickers which she could put on by herself. She colored and wrote an entire story incorporating the pop-up features. It kept her quiet and busy for 2 full hours. I highly recommend this product and I am buying 2 more kits to take out on rainy days.

Two grandsons (9 and 6) LOVE this chance to be creative and let their imaginations "flow"; bought for Christmas gifts (it's now beginning of January) and the 9-year old has his "book" 1/2-way completed and knows what he wants to do for completion. Especially good for use during school breaks (vacations, holidays).

I bought this kit for my nephew's birthday last spring. He loved doing the books so much that he wanted more for Christmas! (I think he's working on his own library for his little brother..) The pop-ups encourage creativity with illustrating and make the pictures really stand out. A little planning goes a long way to make sure all the pages have pictures and writing..

This is a delightful book. My granddaughter who is 11 had one originally about a year ago. When I saw it I wanted one for myself. This is a fun project as well as educational. My granddaughter likes to draw as well as write. The book is very durable. I did add some more markers to use as well as those provided. She worked on the book about 2 hours a day for a week. She did illustrations as well as the story. She used the pop up pages provided as well as some originals of her own. I plan to get more for her to do as Christmas gifts. A younger child would enjoy this project even if he/she does not have the skills my granddaughter does. Thank you for a wonderful product.

This was the perfect choice to inspire one seven year old to create her own artistic displays. She made the decision to give it to her family on Valentine's Day and she spent three weeks happily engrossed. While the balance of this afterschool class (aged 5yr to 10yr) were simply onlookers, they all appreciated the major pop-up display, and especially liked the small note card and envelope that affixes to any page of your choice. I wanted this one slightly shy student to have a "badge of honor." Total success!

My little girl ABSOLUTELY LOVED doing these books,I've seriously not seen this
4 1/2 year old this excited over much else in her life. It was a great shared
activity for us as well because we got to talk over how to plan things out.
We discussed a story's beginning,middle and end and basic plot and thus where to
put such shapes and stickers. It was also great for her to work on her developing
writing skills as we knew we had to be "very super careful" and slow to do it well
and have it for a long time. My one gripe with this product? It should include a few more
options pop up/sticker wise,if you run out you're pretty much out of luck and that's not fun.

Good value - it has heavy pages and a strong binding and provides an interesting, hands-on introduction to pop-up features. When we purchased this it came with two blank books, one smaller than the other for around $15.
My daughter chose the large one to meet the goals of a dinosaur project for school. Although she likes to make her own pop-ups, the writing and research for her project took up most of the time she had so she just went with the the pop-ups already in the book.
Getting the story to line up with the pop ups was challenging but based on how pleased she was with the finished project, it was worth it.
Writing the story separate paper and gluing paragraphs and illustrations worked well.
The guide for how to use the additional pop ups could be better. The illustrations are not easy to follow and the directions were not intuitive.
It is okay, we now have another book and lots of pop ups to figure out and use elsewhere, in the smaller book or greeting cards, which is nice.

I love pop up books and this is a great way to try out the fun for yourself or the little ones. I
like that it includes EVERYTHING for a project. They came blank so I could use it to make a personalized story book for my young granddaughter and then she could use the pens and stickers to make her own. I am sending another to my grandnieces. A very nice and interesting gift.

Got a crafty kid? Got a super-crafty kid? How about one who has a high level of creativity already, and just needs the basic building blocks for a cool project? This is it! I got this for my 8-year-old daughter's Christmas present, and she's in heaven! She's already made 1 book, and is raring to make another one! :) She loves it, and has asked for another kit to be ordered so she can continue to make pop-up books after she's exhausted the first kit! It's a great gift idea, and will stoke the imagination and creativity of any kid who gets it!
