1.0 out of 5 stars Shoddy work, April 24, 2008
This review is from: Create Your Own Stage Make-Up (Paperback)
For instructional titles like these, presentation plays a big role. Perhaps it was the author's intention to demonstrate how various forms of makeup can be adapted to the same subject(s). However, when the examples are merely non-too-subtle photoshop exercises on the same pair of male and female faces, it suggests very much that this was a very rushed and shoddy peice of work.

The lack of good quality photographs further adds to the mounting disappointment.

I sorely regret purchasing this title.

2.0 out of 5 stars Not impressed, September 11, 2009
This review is from: Create Your Own Stage Make-Up (Paperback)
Although this book gives a little insight...its more of a beginners guide to stage make up. It doesnt have color pictures except on the cover which was kind of disappointing, and it really wasnt what I was expecting. I wouldve liked more pictures. Its too much wording not enough visual.

4.0 out of 5 stars My Grandaughter was thrilled, November 30, 2008
This review is from: Create Your Own Stage Make-Up (Paperback)
I can't speak for the book personally as it was a gift. However, my grandaughter contacted me thrilled to death. She has now been given the responsibility of "teaching" her drama class about stage make-up using this book as a beginning point in her preparation.

Highly recommended..
