5.0 out of 5 stars A superbly written and presented "how to" guide., September 7, 2000
This review is from: Creating a Family Storytelling Tradition (Paperback)
Creating a Family Storytelling Tradition tells families how to awaken the 'hidden storyteller' in family experiences and traditions, providing guidelines to unlocking story-telling potentials in all family members. Moore is a professional storyteller, and here guides parents and children in exercises which enhance creating, telling and listening to family stories.

This wonderful book describes how to deepen family relationships through storytelling with graceful, practical and detailed suggestions. Very clear advice about getting a family storytelling tradition in motion, and why it's a great idea! Well written with humor, I recommend this book highly!

1.0 out of 5 stars Very disappointing conclusion, January 17, 2010
This review is from: Creating a Family Storytelling Tradition (Paperback)
The book is well written & well organized. But the end left me deeply concerned. I suspect Moore does not intend to be harmful, but he closes his book by dabbling with destructive spiritual powers. For a record of what this leads to, see http://www.amazon.com/Spirit-Rainforest-Yanomamo-Shamans-Story/dp/0964695235/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1263729876&sr=8-1. To me, this outweighs any benefits a parent or other aspiring storyteller would gain.
