I know anyone who is going to purchase this book is doing so because they are taking a class relevant to the material covered in "Creating Inclusive Classrooms", but I still feel I must warn anyone who is taking a class (even someone such as myself who was excited to do so!) this book is boring, drags on far too long on many topics, and the method of citation is entirely too distracting to make for a smooth read.Be prepared to labor through many of the chapters in this book. Even chapters that cover interesting material feels as it will drone on forever. The writers and editors have little desire to make this information interesting for the college student reader. Another word of warning: If you are taking a class that uses this book and will be teaching at the secondary level, you will find many of their real-life examples woefully inadequate, as they focus on the primary level. This book has good information, if you can manage to stay awake long enough to find it.

Slow service,
This review is from: Creating Inclusive Classrooms: Effective and Reflective Practices (6th Edition) (Paperback)
The book I ordered from "Bunches of Books" arrived close to 2 weeks past the date that was indicated on the original order. Every time I looked at the tracking information, the estimated delivery date was extended. Also, the delivery started out on FedEx, and ended up going back and forth, and back and forth again, to different sub-stations in California. It finally arrived by USPS. When I called them, they couldn't help me. Don't trust these peoples delivery data.

Some parts get a little boring - chapters are long. However, the chapters on disabilities are great reads for descriptions and strategies. CD Rom is especially helpful as a resource and example.

I am in my last yr at my college in a degree of education and this book is AWESOME! The only thing I do not like is that it has no glossary. But they words are italized and the chapter is basically spelled out for you.

The book shipped on time and was in great condition. I only ordered it for a class I was taking, not for my own "enjoyment."

Textbook was in excellent condition and arrived according to the shipping time estimated at purchase. However, new ones come with an access code for the support website and online resources, and this copy did not have that. It costs an extra $30 to purchase the online access code if your course instructor requires you to use those resources, so be sure to check with the seller if you need these resources.

Great for bridging the gap between both special and regular education. There was a lot in the book. However, it provided a balance, not merely a one-sided approach to inclusion. Video resource is great. Also, short snapshots of relevant cases helped to explain and provide applicable examples of theory.
