Entertainment sites comprise the fastest growing segment of the Net. This is the definitive guide to planning, creating, and operating an entertainment-based World Wide Web site. After defining the elements of an entertainment site, the book walks through its entire development and implementation, from targeting an audience to creating compelling content. Editorial Reviews

Amazon.com Review

Written by online-entertainment pioneers of Kaleidospace (the first site to sell entertainment over the Web), this is an eminently practical book for anyone wanting to do the same. Covers all the bases from demographics, promotion, and financial models, to the nuts and bolts of the multimedia software and hardware you'll need to use.

5.0 out of 5 stars Commentary by co-author, August 13, 2010

(REAL NAME)
This review is from: Creating Internet Entertainment (Paperback)
Disclaimer - I co-wrote this book! However, out of the Internet books I wrote in the 1990s, it is the one most worth a look. There are lots of illustrations of websites from that era - interesting to designers and developers. Also, looking back at what we predicted for the future of the "entertainment web" might be valuable to someone researching the history of the web. The first few chapters (developing concepts for entertainment websites) still have value today.
