5.0 out of 5 stars Planner saves time
I thought the book was great and have used a lot of the information from it. This planner is a good tool to use with it. The suggestion to use the dry erase marker was perfect. I found drawing with pencil a little hard to see but the dry erase marker solved that issue. Rather than cut out the templates from the planner, I made a photo copy and cut it up. This allows...

1.0 out of 5 stars Waste of money!
Save your money and go buy $14 (item plus shipping) worth of fabric instead of this "workbook". Although I give high praises to the original book PERFECT QUILTING SPACE, this "planner" is a joke and most certainly should have been included in the original book. For this price, I expected vinyl stick-on furniture models and erasable/wipeable graph paper. It is nothing more...

It is nothing more than a 2 page piece of card stock graph paper with scale furnishings (none of which fit my quilt room furniture!) that you're supposed to COPY! Do yourself a favor and just grab a piece of graph paper and measure your furniture and draw up your room on your own. (The "workbook" wants you to do that anyway!). Don't waste your hard-earned money on this product. Just an FYI - this is my FIRST negative review on Amazon!!

1.0 out of 5 stars This is NOT a book!, September 23, 2007

This is mis-advertised and over priced for what it is. It is a 4 page fold out brochure that could just as easily been included in a book on how to plan your quilting space with examples.
I am quite disappointed and am returning it. I only gave it one star because the program would not let me give it no stars.

This planner is not a book at all, but a fold-out cardboard graph paper that should have been included in the original book as a supplement and is not worth $12and shouldn't cost more than 4.95. I thought I was going to receive a book loaded with pictures and ideas and different layouts. You can go to the dollar store and get a pack of graph paper and construction paper for $2.oo and achieve the same thing as this product.

1.0 out of 5 stars Huge Waste of Money, October 29, 2007
This review is from: Creating Your Perfect Quilting Space Studio Planner (Paperback)
I bought what I thought was a book, but was only a pamphlet called Creating the Perfect Quilting STudio Space STudio Planner. It was a total waste of money and if I had known what it was, I would not have purchased it.

This is an absolute waste of the money and the shipping. Save your money, go down to the local hardware store and get a graph paper grid for free to draw where you want to place furniture, or buy some graph paper and do the same. But don't spend your money on this item. It's a four page nothing and offers absolutely no help you couldn't get elsewhere either free or cheap. It should just be included with the book purchase at no additioanl cost.

Buyer beware - this is a glorified piece of graph paper. I agree with the other reviews - go to the stationery store and buy some graph paper and a ruler and do it yourself.

What a let down!!! I was expecting a book and received a piece of expensive graph paper. Wish I had read the other reviews before purchasing. I agree with the other reviewers that it is being mis-represented as a book, when it is just very expensive laminated graph paper. What a disappointment!!!

5.0 out of 5 stars Planner saves time, October 20, 2007
This review is from: Creating Your Perfect Quilting Space Studio Planner (Paperback)
This allows me more flexibility and preserves the templates for designing the next dream studio. I found the convenience of having someone else measure all of the common sewing furniture, and draw the templates for me, worth the cost. I've searched out 1/2 inch grid paper in the past and found the local office supply didn't have it. It's a matter of where you want to spend your time; researching the size of sewing furniture, or sewing. As always, Amazon was very clear on the number of pages and the format. Designing your studio with this planner provides a tool to discuss new pieces of furniture with a cabinet maker (or in-house carpenter, if you're lucky.)

2.0 out of 5 stars Not worth the money and should be part of the original book, September 10, 2009

Be careful. I found this book at a local store but decided to order it from the web where I could get it much cheaper. The problem is that I was not careful and ordered this instead of the actual book. It does help you to think of what to put in the room, but as a quilter, you already know what you need. You can do this on graph paper.

3.0 out of 5 stars Planning Tool, May 4, 2011
This review is from: Creating Your Perfect Quilting Space Studio Planner (Paperback)
Creating Your Perfect Quilting Space Studio Planner is a companion piece to Creating your Perfect Quilting Space by the same author. Not a book, but a fold-out creative tool to help you visualize what will be the best arrangement for your special space. This is a light weight cardboard planner marked in grid with a worksheet for room size and shape. There are outlines of the furniture, tables and shelving to cut out and place on the grid. With correct measurements of your room and furniture, you can use the cutouts with double stick tape or repositionable glue to plan your room. Move the pieces around as you like until you find the placement you want. While I like the idea of this planner, I would have preferred a heavier cardboard and perhaps perforated punch-out pieces on a separate sheet instead of the cut-outs.
