14 quilt projects with simple shapes but complex in appearance,
By C. Turner (Central California) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Creating Quilts with Simple Shapes (Paperback)
This book is predominantly about utilizing the design in your fabric to create a more complicated appearing quilt, but using only simple shapes. About 3/4 of the book adresses design, choosing fabrics, and techniques in quilting. Directions include nice color diagrams so you can visualize the steps in order to assemble pieces into blocks and then rows. There are 14 specific quilt projects, with color pictures, cut lists, diagrams and directions. Variety of patterns combining nine-patch, four-patch, dugout, tampa, and star point blocks. Helpful for those who learn visually, and want their directions concise.
