Very helpful
I thought the "stages" shown in this book were very helpful. True, I don't own the type of home shown but one can easily interpret the ideas to suit a more modest home and budget. I purchased this book after her newest book, "A Winter House" (so very scrumptous!}.

Hopelessly useless
I love books about decorating but I found this one useless. To begin with, drawings,especially these, are of little value in my opinion. Pictures are much more effective. But, the big question I have is: Who even wants to live in the oh-so-precious "finished" rooms? The audience for this book is limited to say the least. I thought the premise was promising but this...

I thought the premise was promising but this book never delivered. It looks like a classroom project for a decorating class held in a mall someplace. Ugh!
