4.0 out of 5 stars Good starter book for Excel, May 30, 2006
This review is from: Creating Spreadsheets and Charts In Excel: Visual QuickProject Guide (Paperback)
I was looking around to find a book that does a good introduction to Excel with screenshots that I wanted to suggest for a friend. This is a nice book to read and get to know Excel step by step.
The author takes you through a step by step approach with an example to create a budget excel sheet.

Pros: Very good starter book
Cons: There could have been more examples.

There is a sample chapter available on the publisher's site and example workbooks are available on the author's website.

5.0 out of 5 stars A good beginning at using Excel, August 3, 2005

I went through this book in a morning, iBook in my lap and book on the arm of the recliner. I am converting from AppleWorks to Excel for my spreadsheet needs and found that the short length, clear screen shots, and availability of the the changing versions of the spreadsheet on the website made this very attractive to me. I feel like I have learned a lot and accomplished a lot, even though I will never make a budget spreadsheet like the example created in the book. I really liked the Mac and Windows screenshots side by side because so many Excel books only present the Windows version.
