5.0 out of 5 stars More a business book than an art guide, September 14, 2003
This review is from: Creating a Successful Craft Business (Paperback)
Craftsmen may want to profit from their skills but many lack the business acumen to make their art profitable. Enter the Robbins, who show how to evaluate business opportunities, develop proper pricing and marketing formulas for success, and promote and sell products in a variety of mediums, from wholesale to the Web. More a business book than an art guide, Creating A Successful Craft Business focuses on the particular nuts and bolts which are essential to a craft business's success.

5.0 out of 5 stars excellent reference book, April 18, 2008
This review is from: Creating a Successful Craft Business (Paperback)
This is a great reference book. I purchase a bunch of craft business books at the same time and this one is by far the most useful. I really like how each chapter had homework assignments so that you could write your business plan step by step with out even knowing it.

3.0 out of 5 stars it needs an updated version, but overall, informative read, April 25, 2009
This review is from: Creating a Successful Craft Business (Paperback)
I got this book as a birthday gift. It was a very informative and interesting read. KUDOS on the formula for pricing items.BUT, it needs to be updated with more information on how to present yourself to the internet world. Everything is digital now, and perhaps a few chapters on that will help those who are not techie savvy ( myself not included, thankfully im well versed in the ins and outs of the internet)

i recommend this book to newbies and older SAHM's ( stay at home moms)but would love it if an updated version came out.
