Realistic advice from someone who's been there

I love this book. A quick, easy read, it gives honest and useful advice on how to start a weight loss journey. With tips for challenging yourself, setting goals, and retaining/regaining that "first day" motivation, make this a book I'll return to again and again. The author has been down the weight loss road herself, and gives a perspective that cannot be matched by those who have just "studied" weight loss and not lived it for themselves. Do realize though, that this is not a diet plan: it's a plan for making yourself ready to make realistic changes in your life. As such, I really enjoyed it and recommend it to anyone who needs a little push to start their own weight loss journey, no matter what "plan" they ultimately decide to follow.
The author also has a corresponding Facebook page, on which she personally posts & shares encouragement with readers/fans, along with challenges to keep them motivated. I highly recommend checking out the Facebook page as well.
