Creating Wooden Villages -Designs for 18 Miniature Buildings,
By Gabbie "miniature builiding maker" (lake balboa, ca) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Creating Wooden Villages (Paperback)
The title of this book is very misleading as is the back cover. It turns out that all you learn to "make" is a photocopy of a picture of a building, colored in and glued to a piece of wood; not exactly what I had in mind. I assumed because the back cover states that "you can replicate architectural treasures in miniature and create your own wooden village" that the end result would be a 3-D village. It seemed to me that the "techniques" being taught in this book are likened to being instructed on how to color a coloring book. If I printed this review and glued it to a piece of wood, I would have basically, according to the author, have just made a wooden replica of my review. I'm glad I bought this book used and it only cost me $2.00.

I returned both the books I ordered because they were not what I needed. I was looking for patterns and there weren't any that I could use.
