All of these items are hallmarks of elegant bathrooms and, for the most part, expensive design situated in California. What designer-author (Creating Your Dream Kitchen, 2005) Breen excels at is giving readers, experienced or not, an overview of the practical matters associated with renovation and remodeling. For one, there are materials, from surfaces to fixtures and fittings. Breen also includes multiple sidebars, including safety tips and terms to know (and no, face-frame and toe-kick are not part of a ballerina's vocabulary).
