Metempsychosis explains the functions of the various "bodies" which encompass mind, emotions, and the soul. The causal or soul body represents the higher self; the mental/intellectual body holds understanding and beliefs; the astral or emotional body is the vehicle for emotion, desire, and imagination; the etheric container represents energy; and the physical body presents a carrier for stability and individual focus. Personality is temporary and changes with recreation in every lifetime.
