Great Discography Release,
This review is from: Creation Sustenance Destruction (Audio CD)
Creation. Sustenance. Destruction. contains it all. Every song ever recorded by 108. All the songs from Holyname, Songs of Separation, Threefold Misery, and the Curse of Instinct EP are contained here on the discography, along with a never released song entitled "Panic" off a pre-Threefold Misery demo. Thirty-six booming tracks spanning two discs, remastered for your listening pleasure. A nicely detailed complete history of 108 is also included, written by Vic Dicara, along with short descriptions/comments for a majority of the songs' lyrics. Definitely a discography full of substance, and if you aren't familiar with this great hardcore outfit, now's your perfect opportunity.
Spiritual hardcore that embraced mind cleansing Krishna consciousness, 108 held sacred this higher realization while banging out a fresh and angry meld of nerve-rattling hardcore and slow-moving crunching metal. I was introduced to 108 in the good ol' nineties when I was first getting acquainted with other metallic hardcore acts like Shelter and Groundwork, and they hit me pretty damn hard. Threefold Misery might still be my favorite 108 release, especially with sharp acerbic tracks like "Mantra Six," "Arctic," and "Serve and Defy." Those grating guitar riffs still make the hairs on my arm stand up. But really, all their releases are potent gems. Creation. Sustenance. Destruction. is a substantial discography/documentary that every fan of hardcore needs to own. Equal Vision did an amazing job packaging this two-disc album (as they do on any record they release). Chances are, if you grew up in the nineties listening to hardcore, then you are already familiar with this great Krishna-core outfit.

This review is from: Creation Sustenance Destruction (Audio CD)
This is a complete discography of the great Krishna/straight edge hardcore band, 108. It includes all the lyrics and very nice packaging. Most importantly the songs on the Holyname release are finally separated into individual tracks!

108 will win in a fight,

One of the best bands ever to slay on the half-stepping hardcore scene. 108 would win in a fight with any hardcore band out there because they are fueled by lightning.
