It almost seems like Creative Labs doesn't want to sell this bluetooth/usb audio adapter. After spending time looking at the product description on their website and looking for reviews from other people who have bought this, I nearly passed this by. I don't own one of the Creative headsets that this adapter was "exclusively" designed for, and I run Linux - which, according to the website, will not work.

I wanted this adapter for two purposes:
1) To use with my Linux laptop since the built in bluetooth has HORRIBLE range
2) So that I can use my Photive BTH3 headset with my Sony PS4, and be able to voice chat

For me, it fulfills both 1 and 2. I am using a non-Creative headset (works great!) and Linux kernel 3.11.10 (again, works great!). I really don't know why this product seems so restrictive in the description when it seems to do more than it says it does.

With that said, I am happy with my purchase, but it does seem a little expensive for what it is. I suspect the price has to do with the fact that no one else seems to make something like this, at least that I could find.

UPDATE 2015-06-04:
Ever since one of the newer Sony Playstation 4 updates, this adapter no longer works. It still works fine on my laptop and PC, but Sony either accidentally, or intentionally, broke this adapter on the PS4. This adapter now shows up as a keyboard instead of an audio device, and the PS4 completely locks up shortly after it is plugged in. Again, there is nothing wrong with this device, only broken support due to poor software updates from Sony.

What is there to say about a device you stick in a USB slot and occasionally press the little button on the front to re-connect the bluetooth headphones? I stuck it in the slot and it works. Now I can roam around the house and keep listening to music. I can get up from in front of the PC and not have to worry about getting tangled in the headphone cord or pulling the computer off the desk. The sound is awesome on the creative 350 headset I use to connect to the PC so it must be working well.

My hearing aids, along with my Phonak ComPilot, allow bluetooth access to a wide array of sources. I can talk on my cell phone, hands free, without a big extra thing hanging off of my ear.

I've tried two other bluetooth dongles trying to access my Compilot. This one works with no difficulty. It's great

It worked well until one day, about 3 months after I started using it, it overheated. I don't know if it was a hardware failure or the driver that came with it but it didn't work after that. I found another solution and regret this purchase.

. . .and a pairing button. Need I say more?

Oh, I guess so if I am to meet the word requirement to complete this review. :)

Seriously, nothing more needs to be said. I carry this in my wireless headphones case. . . just in case.

Not much to say here except that this is the perfect companion for the Creative Aurvana Platinum Headset. I literally had to just plug it in and press the side button before I was treated to wireless audio bliss.
