2.0 out of 5 stars Philosophy 101, December 7, 1999
By A Customer
This review is from: Creative Content for the Web (Paperback)
I found this book very disappointing. Mainly it consists of airy and inconclusive statements about various web-related issues. A sample, the closing sentence for Part One: "It would seem that being focused on and aware of the specific and particular needs and requirements of the electronic reader--your reader--is the about the most we can hope to do." There's too much philosophizing and too little practical information. Even being a relative newcomer to the web design field, I found little in this book I didn't already know. There are a couple of interesting discussions, but the author could easily have made his point in a couple pages rather than an entire chapter. I'm sure there are better resources for web writers than this one.

5.0 out of 5 stars Creative Content on the Web a Must-Read, March 21, 2000
This review is from: Creative Content for the Web (Paperback)
Practical, beautifully written, and broadly informed, CREATIVE CONTENT ON THE WEB maps the evolution of this powerful new medium. For readers who so far have only a casual interest, as well as for professionals who are seeking broader perspectives on the World Wide Web and the Internet, this is a must read.
