While this book is very beautiful and has lots of really interesting projects which in themselves are well photographed and the steps are well described, it is not what I had expected. It is essentially four different books put into one. The four 'books' are: Bright Ideas in Papercrafts; New Ideas in Ribboncraft; Making Greeting Cards with Creative Materials; and Simple Glass Seed Beading. For as large as this book is (nearly 500 pages), I had hoped for more variety of crafting mediums, but it really is just those four mediums- paper, ribbon, greeting cards (so more paper...), and seed beads. Don't get me wrong, the projects they have are beautiful and varied, but I had hoped for more. Also, I had hoped for more crafts using items you might already have around the house, and while many crafters will likely have a good supply of the basic tools needed for these projects, it does largely require storebought new items, rather than repurposed items (though I'm sure if you got creative you could modify many of the ribbon and beading crafts to include repurposed items). Personally I am not interested much in making greeting cards, so an entire 120 pages of this book is not my cup of tea. I will also add that many of the projects in the Papercrafts and Ribboncrafts sections are also cards. It will be a nice book to add to my crafting book collection, however it is not what I had hoped it would be.

I was really pleased with this book. There are a lot of ideas in it and so many of them can be swapped, like the CD holders can be used with felt or fabrics instead of paper. The pictures are great and the instructions for the projects are very good with follow along photos. It covers a whole variety of crafts, beading, paper, ribbon, etc. I like almost everything in this book. If you are brand new to crafting you may have to purchase some of the tools used in this book but I think new crafters would enjoy this book a great deal.

This is one of those books that with every page you turn you say "wow" I want to do that project. Highly recommend it.

Every once in a while you purchase a book and you are pleasantly surprised because you get more than you expected. That's this book. I agree with everything the previous reviewer wrote. This book has lots for everybody, experienced and beginner crafters. Well worth the money.
