Judy has added her own style and creativity to the ongoing tradition of crewelwork. She has used the various stitches in ways that are new and really guides the embroiderer to create beautiful crewel pieces. She hasn't just reworked the traditional stitches, but shows how to combine them in unique ways with modern colors and materials. She has "raised the bar" in the art of crewelwork. An excellent book for beginner and advanced crewelworker alike.

Judy is an excellent instructor. She makes crewel seem easy. I took my first course from her. I left that class so proud of the accomplisments that I had made. I was able to retain her teachings and go on from there. This book is the BEST on the market. Don't hesitate to purchase it. There are many hours of happy stitching inside. Roxana Trimmer
