This book is a must have for the casual as well as the expert crocheter. It contains beautifully laid out illustrations as well as easy to follow directions. The projects fit into the "something for everyone" category ranging from simple little things to more time consuming projects. It's great when you've forgotten a birthday or need that special something for a Christmas gift

Creative Crochet was the first of all my prized collection of crochet books that I dutifully dragged with me to class all through my last two years of college. Creative Crochet is a joy to work from, The patterns are well laid-out in line-by-line instructions with great color photos so you can see the finished project before you dedicate hours to the craft. Their diagrams are also useful for constructing some of the more complex designs. I've made several very satisfactory presents from projects in this book, but best of all, it fits right in my knapsack with my notebooks and my crochet hooks so I won't be bored in class

From afghans, to all around the house items, to gifts, fun things, baby items, shawls, cardigans, hats, scarves, and holiday items, this book has it all. All the items in this book are very nice looking, very creative. The afghans in this book look exceptional. This book also does not necessarily have sizes for some of the wearable items, which makes it impossible to make for someone, in particularly, baby items. Either you make them newborn size, or not at all. I don't like that about this book. Every other item in this book does have all the necessary amounts of product required stated. This is a book to keep in your library as at a later date you may want to bring this book out and crochet one or more of these items. This is a Leisure Arts book.

I found this book to be an excellent source of knowledge with its simple patterns and exquisitedly finished products.

This is a great book, beautiful patterns, every skill level. It's definitely one of those books, where you sit down and flip through and say, "Oh I want to make that...and that....ooh, and that!"
