I bought this book and found it very useful. the photos are beautiful and

the instuctions very helpful . If you are just starting out then this will be very helpful . If you are a pro then you will find many new and creative

ideas. this is one of the nicest books that i have .

Twenty four pages fell out, not good.

There was not great dealing with fresh flower arrangements which was disappointing, more silk and dried flowers.

The description of how to arrange was not informative enough for me.

But I am a novice.

Disappointed!!!

I've borrowed many books on floral design from libraries for instruction and inspiration. This is one of the few that I chose to purchase for my own reference as I work with permanent botanicals. It is well rounded but focuses more on silk and dried techniques. Although I am not a beginner, I found the opening chapter on floral design priniciples thorough and helpful. Most designs are classic enough to still be relevant even though book was published in '97. Beautiful photos of multiple creative designs in each category and the authors tips motivate the adaptation of ideas to your specific needs and personal style. I highly recommend this book to anyone who wants to create beautiful arrangements of their own.
