Creative is such a good computer speaker company, they deserve a lot of credit.

These are not my favorite speakers, though. The tweeter is good...Accoustic guitar or mandolin sounds as if someone is sitting right on my desk playing. The bass is pretty good, although sometimes a bit muffled on higher volume.

But the midrange seems off. Often the high range sounds good, the bass is fine, but the vocals in the mid-range get lost in it all.

The bass unit is medium sized, but it still takes up extra space. So I put it under my desk. BUT, the only volume control is attached by a cord to the bass unit. So I have to reach under the desk to turn it up or down. This is very inconvenient (in a "What were they thinking?" sort of way).

Overall, the system has trouble bringing the high end, bass and mid-range together in a coherent way.

Creative has what I feel is a much better product in the Gigaworks T20. The sound is spectacular, and the bass is built into the same unit as the tweeter and midrange. In particular, the bass shaft extends vertically up along the speaker and opens at the top. So there's no need for a separate third unit for bass. Sounds great in all ranges, has bass and volume controls on the speaker, looks good.

Given the choice betwen the T20 or this T3030 system, definitely go for the T20.

Creative Inspire T3030 2.1 Speaker System ( 51MF0315AA002 ) The overall product quality is excellent. The included remote makes volume and bass level adjustment very handy, important when you have multiple users with differing preferences.
The length of the speaker wires allow for easy placement with good separation. This is a great value for a reasonable price.

I bought these speakers so I could listen to my mp3 player in my room and I am very happy that I did. They are fantastic, they sound great with every kind of music and I even used them to plug into my DVD player to watch a movie and the sound was superb. The speakers are also quite aesthetically pleasing on the stands or hanging on a wall. I haven't tried them on my computer but I am sure they are better than my harman/kardon HK395 speakers [...]

The only thing I'd change is either switch from the wired remote to a cordless remote or not have one at all; the cable always gets in my way and it does not provide me with much convenience if any at all. You can just tie up the cord and stow it on top of the sub though.

The speakers are decent for the price, but I suggest that you buy other speakers if you are looking for bass.

The sub-woofer was built like junk. As a result the sub produces bass like junk.

The wired-remote that this product comes with has two dials (1 for volume and 1 for bass).

The bass dial can go up to 9, however as soon as you pass 4 the speaker begins to rattle.

I like my bass in music, but the rattling the sub makes muffles out all the bass, including the rest of the speakers.

I gave this set of speakers 2 stars, because the mid/high ranged satellite speakers produce ample sound.

I recommend buying another system.

My Mac Mini has a mono built-in speaker, which left me in need of a stereo set of speakers. After weighing my options and reading a few reviews, I knew I didn't want to spend a lot of money for casual background music while working on the computer (I have a dedicated home stereo system and when I want to do my critical listening that is where I go). If you are looking for a 2.1 package to be used for casual background music while working on your computer, I must say, these speakers are a far cry from being disappointing! They turned out to be much better value than I expected for the $29 plus tax I paid for them. Keep your eyes open for mail-in rebates. Honestly, after listening at length, if I had paid full price I would still be happy! YOU WILL NOT BE DISAPPOINTED! I may buy a second set as an add on for the bedroom television.

I just bought this set for ~50 euro and I can almost compare it to a full-size audio speaker set of 10 times the price. Of course it does not have the depth as the more expensive sets but bass as well as treble is great. Very clear sound. I wish i could have bought something like this when I was young and had to buy large, unwieldy speakers. Nice thing also that these kind of speakers can be used on anything with a headphone connection.

The speakers are as advertised. The quality of sound is excellent and a great value for the price.

This speaker has an excellent quality in comparable to the price. It produces reasonable base and quite clear treble. I watched several DVD movies with Audigy 2 zx and the speakers. These speakers worked excellently. I remember the astonishing sound of bullets from the speakers. I think this has been working well to my computer. The quality of the speakers are excellent with the reasonable price.

This is probably one of the cheapest speaker set you can get that uses standard components all over: the line-in is a mini-stereo, the left and right speakers also use standard connectors (cheaper Creative and Altec Lansing solutions have the right speaker doubling up as the controller, with the line-in cable hard-wired into it).

With this system, if any component were to fail you can just replace it (or if you happen to have a better pair of speakers elsewhere). That's also it's saving grace, because on mine at least, the provided line-in cable is rather mediocre -- at some rotation angle it would not produce any sound from the right speaker.

All in all, still a very decent piece of audio equipment, and one with room for upgrades.

I purchased these for $50 yesterday at Staples and I *love* them. Excellent quality for the price. They beat the heck out of the similarly priced Altec Lansing speakers, which doesn't have a wired remote and has a hiss in the right satellite.
