I recommend these for a commuter who always listens to music because they are comfortable, sound great (they block a lot of outside noise as well) and are reasonably priced. $50 might sound expensive for earbud headphones but its not. To compare, Apple headphones, the ones that come with iPods and iPhones cost $35 and are significantly lower quality.

These earbuds come with 3 different sized rubber caps to fit different sized ear canals. The sound is good: very clear but low bass response, which is to be expected with such small speakers. This can be compensated by lowering the treble on your musical device (assuming you can do that). The point is, without high quality audio files (320k+) and without bigger speakers, this is the best audio experience you can get with earbuds. If you want lots of bass, go with bigger headphones and avoid earbuds.

I ride public transportation for almost 2hrs/day and I'm always listening to something with my iPhone. I bought these to replace my 4yr old Creative earbuds. These are a new model and they are great. When these die, I will likely buy the new Creative earbuds that are out.

I had been using the EP-630's prior to purchasing the EP-650's. I figured these were going to be better sounding since the EP-650 is a slight step up. But no, these are actually pretty horrible and very disappointing. They have way to much bass and the vocals sound distant. And now they rattle when I am playing a song with bass in it. The only plus was that they came super duper quick.

I bought these to replace my 5 (or more) yr. old EP-630s. The old ones must have fallen out of my pocket in the driveway, and I ran over them with my car and broke one of the ear buds in half :( A bit of crazy glue - - and to my surprise they still worked! I thought I'd get new ones while the old ones were still hanging in there (how long can the crazy glue hold?). I bought these EP-650's because of the price (12 bucks!!) and the fact that they have identical specs to my old beloved 630's.

These headphones are perfect for travelling (can't hear the screaming babies on the airplane at all) or commuting (seat-mates on the subway can't hear your music at all) as well as for general use. Good sound, good fit (3 different size sets of ear cushions are included) and they seem just as well built as my old ones - - and that's really saying something. How many earphones could you run over with a car, glue back together, and still use them like nothing happened? Try it with your Beats, Etymotics, etc, if you dare.

You can't go wrong with these EP-650's or the essentially identical EP-630's. Highly recommended by me for: sound, durability, and price, in that order.

ps... Ordering from Amazon was great. I ordered these on a Wednesday afternoon, they were delivered on Friday morning, free shipping too!

This is the second pair of headphones that I have had from Creative Labs. I've found that the audio fidelity is nearly as good as those costing twice as much, but the CL headphones are considerably more durable. A very good value.

It may be of value for others to know that the cord length is slightly longer than typical for this type of headphone. Occasionally this can be an advantage as well.

I hate spending money on headphones and finding out the sound sucks. Order these and you won't be disappointed. Bought two pair, one for each of my kids. Will now be ordering one for myself. Sound is definitely not lacking in bass, but not too overpowering as I thought they might be. Great for rock and today's pop. Well worth the money.

Had one pair previous to these. Headphones work great and the chrome looks good. Best headphones I have ever used / owned. Other ear buds are expensive. These are a good price.

I have used these for the past 4 years, and recently snagged them on something, so I had to get a new pair, which I opted for the same ones. There's just nothing like them at the same price or even close!

PROS: I use them mainly when mowing the lawn, on an airplane, or anywhere when I want to cancel out noise. Stick them in your ear, turn up the volume even just a little bit, and you can no longer hear anything around you like that crying baby, however they won't stop the kid kicking your seat..

Has great highs and lows as they couple inside your ear unlike standard headphones.

CONS: When you are using these, if the cable sometimes hits against something such as your body, depending on what you are listening to, you will most likely hear interference, like a low thump. Never bothered me but it's just something to keep in mind, as it is an issue with a lot of these headphones. In the case you are at the gym on a treadmill for instance, I would opt for normal non-noise canceling headphones.

The past 6 years, I've owned the Creative Zen MP3 player and because of wear and tear. (i.e. Cycle commuting, Joshua Tree, Yosemite and just plain walking.) I cannot say enough great stuff about Creative.

I've had to buy three sets of headphones in the past 6 years and I cannot say it was because of Creative. It was normal wear and tear of three year use for the Creative EP-630i and the Creative EP-650.

With such great wear and tear performance and the sound quality is excellent. How we receive sound is different in all cases, but I've found Creative's EP-6 hundred series, catches both bass lows and treble highs really impressively. Which is why I recently bought the Creative EP-660, and I hope to receive at least three years usage.

I hope this helps your search.
