Creative Knitting is relatively new to the knitting market, a welcome addition. While I haven't subscribed yet, I pick up copies at the newstand and have generally found the quality of the patterns, styles, and articles to be pretty good. The directions for the garments that I've made have been accurate and error free. Except for things like bikinis (who at any age would wear a hand-knitted bikini?) and slacks (?!), most of the designs are modern and adaptable. With 20 or more projects in each issue, CK is a bargain. Hope these editors and designers keep up the good work.

As far as the magazine goes, it usually has a range of projects. None of them too difficult or complicated. I like that they always have some small, quick projects. While I may just dream about an intricate fair isle with steeks in another magazine, I will actually make a cotton dishcloth from Creative Knitting. You won't find cutting edge fashions or cashmere yarns here either. Most of the yarns featured are readily available at walmart, hobby lobby, michael's. The patterns are usually so simple that they are good for learning to substitute yarn. Overall, Creative Knitting is not as overwhelming or intimidating as some of the other knitting mags. Definitly a magazine that the beginning knitter should try. And good for simple, quick projects for the more advanced knitter.[...]

This magazine is now available on-line with a searchable archive. In general I think all knitting magazines are too expensive, but having one that I don't have to store and where I can look at past issues on-line is an idea that I hope catches on quickly. This magazine also has a great "back" page which provides small photos of each project included. This is also a great idea that I wish other magazines would pick up. Instead of trying to store and catalog copies, just print and store the back page for future project reference!

Whoa! I almost subscribed to this magazine via a renewal and just as I was entering my credit card info, I realized that it is not the same Creative Knitting I was already receiving! This is a mag from Australia, whereas the one I already receive and also offers an on-line subscription, is from the USA. The difference???
Australia's mag = creative Knitting,(note lower case c and it is in italics). The USA version is Creative Knitting (both caps and in bold manuscript print.) The USA version is affordable @ 19.99/6 issues/year, & you get free online access to 'bonus' patterns.

Up to a year ago, I would have told you that this magazine was a good, basic, knitting magazine for knitters in Australasia. I made the mistake of subscribing to it after it got sold to another publisher. There have been no good patterns or editorial in this magazine since, and now half the content devoted to felting.

This isn't the American Creative Knitting Magazine, it's the Australian one! The seasons are backward. Amazon doesn't seem to have the American one. I had to get it from the [...] web site.

This is a wonderful magazine full of great, well written patterns. I subscribe directly from the publisher [...]. I share this magazine with my knitting group and several now have their own subscriptions.

Someone earlier suggested that you get digital access complimentary with the print version. Such is not the case.

Have not yet received subscription, but have seen this magazine and it was recommened to me by knitting club members. Great projects and photos.

I purchased this as a gift for a friend and she likes it. That's all I know about it.
