This is the second set of these speakers I have purchased. These ones are going to be a gift. I've searched around for travel speakers and these guys are the best buy around: for under $20 you get 10 watts of power, adjustable bass and treble that actually works, and a very decent amount of sound. If you're looking for speakers that stay at home, the JBL Creatures are another good buy at about $83.

I bought the SBS270s just as travel speakers to use when I go on vaction. I hook them up to my FM/AM protable CD player. I tell you these little speakers sound awesome. They reproduce clean highs and good lows. They are a good all around 2.0 speaker system. I can't believe the sound that comes out of such small speakers. For the price you can't go wrong. I hear people talking about buzzing sounds when you turn them up. I havn't had that problem. It might be the way they have them hooked up. So if your looking for good speakers for your mp3, cd player or laptop get these.

These are great speakers. They have a mellow & very pleasing sound. Lower frequencies (110Hz) could be stronger/lower, but then the company does offer a 3-piece system for the same price. Dell Computer offers them as well, suggesting they are higher quality and from a reputable company. Salesman at CompUSA told me speaker systems running less have a more inferior & tinny sound, compared with these. Probably so. They ARE 10 watts of output, 5 watts per channel.

I received these speakers as a gift and was very worried that they would not put out good sound. I was pleasantly surprised to find they provide a full, rich sound. I hope they last because I am very satisfied.

Since the day I bought them two years ago, I haven't had a single problem with these speakers. I bought them to replace those on my desktop computer, and since then they have not only served another computer, but have become the only speakers used in the living room since my stereo speakers died a few months ago. I've dallied in getting those replaced because....well, I've got a CD player on my computer don't I? Currently, I'm listening to the new Kathleen Edwards CD and it's playing a good bass rift pretty satisfactorily. And loudly enough that I will have to turn it down if the phone rings. One of those bargains that make you think, "How did I get away with this?"

I purchased these speaker at walmart for 20$ they sound decent depending on what you want you want to use them for. There not made to be loud although they can sound fairly loud when playing music or dvds, or even games. When you turn the speakers up all the way they tend to make a type of rattling sound/buzzing sound. So if your wanting loud speakers dont buy these. Although they do sound good for instant messgaing music,things that dont require alot of bass or really high pitch. But these speakers are worht the 20$ for your tipical computer uses.

This speakers really does worth u money, even only 10 watts yeah it rock so good, can get pretty lound even for my laptop) So good sound for dvd and mp3 sound, buy it, perfect for laptop users !

The speakers are pretty decent for the money.
I just picked them up because I just wanted a cheap pair to hold me over for a little while. The sound quality is decent. Not a lot of bass obviously, but decent.
However, if you turn the volume up more than halfway, you start hearing a constant buzzing sound which gets louder as you increase volume. A bit annoying.

But again, fo the money they aren't terrible.

I know one shouldn't expect much from inexpensive speakers but the sound is pretty poor even for the price. Its nice that there's a bass and treble button and there's a headphone jack too. But the sound quality goes downhill fast if you put the volume past the mid-point. Bass distorts the sound to the point that it isn't listenable. If you're looking for bass, these aren't the speakers you want.

I love these speakers, they sound great. I love that i can also have a private conversation or listen to a movie or music to myself. They take up little space. The price is great. So if you want to replace computer speakers buy these.
