I have a Dell and for some stupid reason most web cams that have drivers that install separately, cause my computer to crash due to sound driver conflicts. All Logitech and Microsoft brand cameras that I tried, would give me a blue screen of death shortly after installation. I was intrigued by the plug and play aspect of this product so I bought it, and it works PERFECT!!!! Picture and sound and amazing, it works with all the video chat programs I've tried thus far, and to ice the cake, no installation required. You literally plug it in, and within 30 seconds, you're ready to go. It's worth every penny.

I have 2 Live! Cam Optia Pro VF0380 webcams. The second one bought from Amazon.com. The webcams functioned very well until I installed an "update", supposedly, from Creative. After this update was installed, I have'nt been able to use my webcam. When trying to use other applications with it, like WebcamMax or ManyCam, I get messages like "This webcam is being used now. Please close program which is using that webcam or select another one" or "Can't connect to video source. Please check another video capture device". The screen is black, no transmission of an image from the webcam. Again, the webcams worked very well until the installation of this "update". Creative told me to uninstall and reinstall webcam and driver. The drivers won't budge, they probably need a more radical procedure. I did uninstall and reinstall, but the problem persists. The webcams light up on Startup, but do not transmit images. I am in the process of e-mailing Creative another e-mail, hopefully to resolve this annoying problem. Like I said, "the webcam worked wonderfully until..."

Purchased Webcam from Amazon. Installed same. Immediately upgraded software with auto upgrade. This webcam replaces a Microsoft 6000 camera. It makes the microsoft camera look bad. This is a great camera for use with all the included suftware. I like the time lapse and also the use with messenger.
