4.0 out of 5 stars Practical, Simple and Fun!, October 18, 2000
By

I read and review a lot of things as the Embroidery host for BellaOnline and this is one of the best books on Machine Embroidery I have come accross.

I found it easy to follow, with projects matched to the lessons and experience required in the lesson.

This book is a great book to have whether you are a beginner machine embroiderer or an advanced one.

Learn to use your sewing machine creatively - this book teaches you that you do not have to have a specialised "embroidery machine" to do beautiful machine embroidery.

5.0 out of 5 stars Creative Machine Embroidery by Gail Harker, August 1, 2000
There have been many books written on machine embroidery but this one tops them all. Gail has gone into much needed detail to show How To Do and her style is easy to follow. I have taken classes from Gail and she is an excellent teacher. This book follows along the same lines. Inovative techniques make the end results worth it. I highly recommend this book.

3.0 out of 5 stars VERY SMALL PRINT, February 6, 2003

My newest passion is machine embroidery and so on the recommendation of Bella Online I purchased the book. By the beautiful samples it appears to be filled with great information, if I could only read it with ease. The print is unusally small and the small project descriptions are practically unreadable, so it has been a slow read with the use of a magnifying glass. The margins are wide so wonder why the printer chose such a tiny print. Lest you think it is my eyes, I have a huge library of quilting and sewing books and have never encountered this
problem before. The three stars are because of the print size. What a shame because I'm really intrigued by the photos.
