5.0 out of 5 stars Best of the breed
This player is sweet. When all you want is to listen to your favorite music this is the player. Plays music that you choose without any frills. The quality of the sound is superb. Download is a cinch. The size is unbelievable so you can jog or exercise without feeling any straps or bands. Doubles as a disk-on-key so just as easily you can transfer those other files.

This is Creative's attempt to capitalize on the success of Apple's Ipod Shuffle by producing a flash mp3 player with no display. This is Creative's attempt to capitalize on the success of Apple's Ipod Shuffle by producing a flash mp3 player with no display. This is basically the original Nomad MuVo, and two years ago when I reviewed that same product I gave it a great review. But that was two years ago, and an mp3 player without a display just doesn't cut it today. If you want a no thrills mp3 player for exercise, buy the original Nomad Muvo, which you can find brand new for about $15. If you're thinking of getting this, go ahead and spend the nominal extra cost to get the Nomad Muvo TX FM, which includes a display for just a few dollars more.

One advantage of this is that it is easy to use. No software is required, just plug in the usb key to a computer and copy your music. You'll have to rename some of your files though to get it to play in the order you want to. Battery life is around 18 hours on 1 AAA battery, which is pretty good.

The iPod Shuffle is successful because of marketing, not because anyone really wants an mp3 player without a display.

5.0 out of 5 stars Solid, Simple, July 27, 2006

I wanted a no nonsense MP3 player to listen to while working outside. This unit stores about 4 hours worth of songs. It is simple, easy to use, and sounds good. It works great for me. Don't get this one if you want anything fancy. This is a bare-bones player.

4.0 out of 5 stars My 2nd MUVO, May 26, 2009

There are 2 features that I find great in the Creative MUVO line. First is the ability to support Audible (Books on Tape). The second is the ability to attach a lanyard. I love listing to books while I walk at the beach. I got this one because I lost be battery holder on my v100. The battery holder on the v100 holds the lanyard with a little slot. This version does not have a display which I find very annoying. The little light flashes red when the aaa batery goes weak. Its minimal memory is great for holing a couple of 12 hour unabridged books.

1.0 out of 5 stars Worst Muvo out there, July 15, 2008
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Creative Muvo Mix 512 MB MP3 Player (Electronics)
I love Creative Muvos. I own several and the Muvo V100 is by far my favorite MP3 player to date. The Muvo Mix 512, however, is a piece of junk.

First, it's made of extremely cheap plastic that's so flimsy I'm afraid it's going to break whenever I use it. The quality is so beneath the other Muvos that I can't believe this is a Creative product.

Second, it locks up constantly. I'm talking 2 or 3 times in a 20 minute period. And you have to remove the battery to reboot it. Very inconvenient while driving along (I use the Muvo Mix mostly in my car). To be fair to the Muvo Mix, I took it out of my car just on case my car's system might causing the problem somehow and listened to it while I walked to work. Same problem. I'm walking along and it cuts out. I press the on/off button, skip forward, skip back. Nothing. I'm forced to reboot.

Third, the only way to tell if the player's on or off, playing or paused is by a vague green/red light that doesn't always work. There's no screen of any kind, not even the typical tiny Muvo screen, so you're in the dark a lot. When in doubt, you'll have to reboot. And you will. A lot.

Lastly, the sound quality is really awful. Sometimes echoing, sometimes tinny, always bad. And there's no equalizer to adjust as with other Muvos. You're stuck with the one dreadful sound quality mode.

I really don't know why Creative is risking their rep by selling this substandard piece of junk. It's a huge disappointment from a company I've come to trust. Bottom line: skip the Muvo Mix. It's inexpensive, but it's not worth it. Spend a few dollars more and get one of the better Muvos. You'll really be glad you did.

5.0 out of 5 stars Love it!, March 16, 2007
This review is from: Creative Muvo Mix 512 MB MP3 Player (Electronics)
Got this one for my grandson then had to buy one for myself, too. It's great to have lived long enough to see big boom boxes transformed into little bitty things like this. Easy to load and use. Mine has the radio function and only half the MB, his has no radio. Haven't had much luck with the radio. It seems like the battery runs down real fast but you only have to have one AAA. The only thing I didn't like was the ear buds, they fall out too easy. I had to replace them with something on a headband. Both Muvo's are still going strong after many months of use. Grandson's has been dropped repeatedly. Before this he had a Sandisk and it broke right away.

5.0 out of 5 stars Compact, lightweight, yet Durable product w/ GREAT sound. Paid $90, worth every penny!, October 10, 2007
Wow. I'm definitely impressed by this MP3 player. It is super compact, lightweight, perfect for anyone. It is powered through batteries, so it's super easy to replace. No need to worry about an internal battery losing its charge over time.

Another thing that impressed me was sound quality. It FAR surpassed my iPod's sound quality. Amazing.

I paid about $90 for this MP3 player, and it was worth every penny!

Este reproductor de mp3 es muy bueno si lo que te interesa es tener memoria disponible y ejercitarte. El precio es bastante accesible y definitivamente es mas fuerte que el Ipod shuffle.
