I also bought Creative Native American Beading which didn't have the subtitle: "Contemporary Interpretations of Traditional Motifs" and had a completely different picture on the cover. Both books are identical on the inside. Don't buy both!

This book is so much fun. It helped create family time and friend time. The projects are great and vary in difficulty. So you can try new things as you learn. My daughter and her friends love to hang out in the living room and bead and talk and dream with me. The designs inspire me to try variations and I feel creative. That makes me feel good.

Sometimes I buy books or kits and they just go to waste. I just can not figure out the instructions. Not with this author, the instructions are crystal clear.

I love this book and I think that you will also. Many great projects. I give this book my highest recommendation.

This book is a classic title on Native American beading; it makes perfect sense that all six of the book's Amazon reviews in hardcover gave it five stars -- go take a look at Creative Native American Beading, and then buy this great title here at a bargain price in softcover. The book has clear instructions and 18 great projects for beginners to advanced beaders, including a beautiful native bracelet, sun catcher, medallion, amulet bag, and more. A terrific bargain for beaders' bookshelves. Dr. Geary has an intertribal heritage on both sides of her family, and she received advanced instruction in beadwork from the elders of the San Carlos Apache tribe.

I am an avid beader and wanted to add this book to my collection. No time in the literature did it mention this is a republish of an earlier book. When I recieved the book I found that it is identical to an earlier book. If they are going to do a reprint then the information on the product should so state, in the future be diligent in finding out the contents before you buy. The only good part is I bought it at a reduced rate.

I have all of Theresa Flores Geary's books and I think she is one of the best Native American beading authors out there and I'm sad that she won't be publishing anymore. I have personally been in contact with her and perhaps if more people contacted her she would consider publishing another book. If you love Native American beading you will love her designs and directions. Owning her books is a must for Native beaders and for anyone who loves Native art!!

The directions are well written and the pictures lay out the different steps involved in making the item shown much easier. It has great ideas.

This book has helped me learn to bead some items that were only dreams of mine.Such as a feather fan handel.

And some earrings and hair ties. I will recommmend this book to anyone who loves to bead as much as I.

This book combines diagrams and ideas with a history of Native American Beading techniques. There are are pictures of work created by Native American artisans. I've used the book as a tool to learn techniques and now I'm able to apply the techniques in different ways.

This is a great book, but I already had it with a different cover so I sold it to a friend. The inside was exactly the same as the one I purchased several years ago.

This has excellent directions and many items to bead.

I have always had good results when buying from Amazon.
