It's the sort of collection any visually stimulated reader would drool over: annual reports and newsletters created by some of the top designers in the country. The good news about this book is that there are no automatic kudos or expressions of "oh, you're so wonderful." The authors expect the reader to have to work hard to achieve creativity in composing reports and newsletters. Every element of the process, from typeset to budget concerns, is scrutinized with care and expertise. The better news is that the narrative tackles problematic issues and how they can be solved. Some of the more famous company names in the U.S. are featured as outstanding examples--including a Harley-Davidson annual report and a Saturn newsletter. About the Author

Rita Street and Roberta Street are a mother-daughter team with long-standing interest in reading a writing. Rita is the editory of Film & Video Magazine and is the author of Computer Animation: A Whole New World. She resides in West Los Angeles, California. As a Social Security field representative, Roberta handles area public relations in her home town of Lancaster, California. She is also a part-time English teacher for Chapman University.

Plethora of solid design examples from low budget projects to full-color, high-budget work. Non-profits to corporate newsletters. A good addition to your resource library. Hopefully future volumes will follow!

Beautiful presentation. Looking at books like this helps jumpstart ones own ideas. For those who are still learning, trying to recreate the layouts in Adobe products is great practice.
