5.0 out of 5 stars My Two Cents
I'm familiar with the EC catalogue, and this is a strong piece of work--there is a good span of material that betrays a musicianship uncommon to many artists: woodwinds, guitars, crickets, vocals, electronic noodlings...they're all there. The work is as futuristic as you can want, and the mp3 tracks are beautiful, too.

There's even something for Laner's...

3.0 out of 5 stars You know, for the kids....
If you're familiar with Tigerbeat6 you'll know what to expect here: Spastic indie laptoptronica aimed at todlers, or adults with extremeley short attention spans. Except this stuff's got class, and some truly inspired, head turning, world class electronic textures. And if you're familiar with Mr. Laner's music, chances are you've already bought or stolen this album...

There's even something for Laner's Medicine fans here: "Is There Another Door to Door?" One of my favorite albums of the past 12 months (as of Feb. 2005) I look forward to the next work.

Includes glitch beats colliding with bizarre rinky dink toy melodies and the occasional heavily processed guitar lick or vocal snippet. Wildly eclectic, sometimes hopelessly catchy, other times completely obnoxious, but, praise Jebus, there's never any shortage of flavor!

Still, this is hardly the best EC material...... For that check the 62-56 album on Tigerbeat or the Slow Food album on Planet-Mu. I was initially a little put off by all the hip-hop styled beats on this one which I find totally boring, but it's all grown on me, and let's be clear, there's nothing at all resembling rap here. Just short sweet 2-3 minute electro numbers. I do wish it was a bit longer.

Should appeal to children of all ages.
