Truly 7 books in 1...,

Although it tends to follow that books that will cram loads of information between their covers also then tend to truncate important information in that process of trying to be "all things to all people," the this book provides useful and informative text for each of its proffered parts to the Adobe web collection for the CS3. It's laid out so that anyone can at first navigate to whatever portion of the suite they wish to learn about and ultimately use, but such a layout for the book makes it rather like a phonebook, or encyclopaedia, in that there's no need to physically bookmark one's recent or past findings, because it's right there where you left it, if you need to reference it again. I would therefore classify this book as a great addition to any reference library for one's Adobe products, and recommend it to anyone wanting to become both familiar and versed in all things Adobe CS3.

Libraries seeking computer reference books promising lasting value would do well to look at this one-stop guide to creating a dynamic web site using Adobe's Creative Suite program. Damon Dean is an experienced web producer and developer who works with other equally talented to pack in over 800 pages of details, from formatting text and importing images to laying out pages and using PDF files. It's packed with plenty of detail, yet very accessible to relative newcomers, making it an excellent collection choice.

I bought the book thinking that it had enough information for me. I'm an artist not a photographer, so it doesn't have enough information for just a single program. A book should be used for each program rather than piling everything into one book.

The tutorials that come with the creative suite are not only sufficient but also easy to understand and follow, use them first and if you still have questions consider wasting your money on the book for dummies.
