The Creative Labs Sound Blaster Wireless Receiver with Remote Control converts the signal from a Sound Blaster Wireless Transmitter or Sound Blaster X-Fi Notebook ExpressCard 34 into music that you can play through your home stereo system or portable speakers.
You can connect up to four Sound Blaster Wireless Receivers to each transmitter or ExpressCard, letting you stream the music collection on your computer to different rooms of your home. For example, you could send music--from just one computer--to your living room, dining room, kitchen, and study.
The included software will make managing your playback functions easy, giving you individual control over each receiver. And the remote will add further convenience, letting you manage your music from across the room.

This sounds great -- until all of a sudden the music stops for about half a second. Unfortunately, it does that one to three times per song, which is maddening. A quick look online reveals this is apparently a fairly common problem with these --it's even the subject of one of the four FAQs on the creative website. Their solution is to move the two units closer together, which of course defeats the purpose of the technology entirely. Mine are in adjacent rooms, so I can't imagine wanting them any closer, but the problem still persists. Sorry I bought it.

Unfortunately, the description write-up doesn't mention this receiver only works in stereo sound with either stereo speakers or 2.1.
Since I purchased this for a 5.1 speaker setup, this doesn't work for me. Had I known, I wouldn't be saddled with repackaging and returning this.

è veramente molto utile. volevo un sistema per sentire la musica in casa nelle stanze senza alzare troppo il volume in una sola. ho trovato questo prodotto di creative e mi fido del brand. pensavo il funzionamento fosse un pò limitato invece si può anche controllare dal telecomando ed è veramente piccolo. favoloso!!!
