Editorial Reviews

Amazon.com Review

Computerized sewing machines can do marvelous things these days, but they're no good if you don't know how to use them. Brand by brand, Hastings demystifies these wonders and their accessories and notions, then offers more than 30 snazzy step-by-step projects to take advantage of your machine's amazing capabilities. Garments, home-decor accessories, holiday items, and gift ideas all come out looking professional, and the embellishment takes relatively little effort and little time: you supply the basic design concepts (there are plenty of nice ones here), and the machine does all the work. --Amy Handy

1.0 out of 5 stars I am very dissapointed in this book., July 31, 1999
By A Customer
This review is from: Creative Sewing Projects With Your Embroidery Machine (Paperback)
I am very dissapointed in this book. It reviewed several different sewing machines and you could only do the project for the one machine you owned! Very expensive for the price. Little information for the machine pictured on the front.

4.0 out of 5 stars Embroidery machine guide and project idea book, February 18, 1999
By A Customer
This review is from: Creative Sewing Projects With Your Embroidery Machine (Paperback)
This book is a great take along when you are shopping for your first embroidery machine. It gives you the basics of what to look for in a machine as well as some project ideas to get you started. It also gives you much needed information on stabilizers which are so important for the embroidery machine user to achive the correct finished look. If you already own an embroidery machine, you may find some of the projects very imaginative. The stabilizer refesher is also good reading.
