The only reason that this book has 1 star is for the beautiful soap pictures. The recipes are horrible. The soap recipes are lye heavy and the consistency of the creams are more like watery lip balms. They don't match the pictured creams.

This book is wonderful. It has great recipes and a section to help you get started if you are new to soap making along with a section on where to get supplies. I have tried the hair oil which we love and a few other recipes. It also explains what the ingredients do and gives cautions if you are pregnant or have certain conditions and gives suggestions for alternatives. Easy to follow instructions.
