There is only one flaw with this product. If you have a Zen stone then you were looking for something that lasts a long time. The stone lasts so long before needing recharged because it doesn't have a screen. 3.0 out of 5 stars A decent tiny MP3 player
I've had numerous MP3 players, most of which I've used for running. I tried this one out because I wanted a small MP3 player (for exercising) with large buttons (so I can change volume/tracks without stopping or slowing down to look at the device).

There is only one flaw with this product. If you have a Zen stone then you were looking for something that lasts a long time. The stone lasts so long before needing recharged because it doesn't have a screen. Because it doesn't have a screen you need to see the light to understand what it's doing and how much battery life you have left. Different colors or blinks mean different things. This skin is opaque and you cannot see that little light to know what its doing. I think I'm going to find a hole punch and try to make a small hole so I can see it. Otherwise it's Silicone and feels really cool and works great.

5.0 out of 5 stars Perfect for me, August 16, 2007

This armband is so comfortable, adjustable, and hardly noticeable since it's only an inch wide. I have a different take on the opaque skin covering the blinking light. I don't want to see a blinking light when I'm doing my yoga or be distracted during my workout. I bought the Zen Stone because I didn't want a screen. I can figure out when I need to recharge since I only use it a few hours each day. For me, no bells, whistles, or lights are just fine.

The armband is exceptionally lightweight and easy to use. My only real criticism of the design is that it covers up the light on your Zen Stone player, which means you can't check the power level without taking the player completely out of the case.

This armband and skin are great if you want portable music while you're running, biking or walking. The skin protects the Zen Stone from getting sweaty and grimy, and it's quite comfortable to wear.
The only thing I don't like about the skin is that it's a bit difficult to get your Zen Stone in and out of the skin. Other than that, it's been perfect for my needs so far.

4.0 out of 5 stars Nice little armband, August 9, 2007

This armband does a good job of staying up and keeping the Zen Stone on my arm. All the controls are accessible through precut holes. The only problem I see is that the skin hides the LED that indicates if the unit is on.

3.0 out of 5 stars A decent tiny MP3 player, August 19, 2007
This review is from: Creative Zen Stone Armband and Skin (Black) (Electronics)
I've had numerous MP3 players, most of which I've used for running. I tried this one out because I wanted a small MP3 player (for exercising) with large buttons (so I can change volume/tracks without stopping or slowing down to look at the device).

PROS:
-Small, cute
-PLUG & PLAY:just drag and drop music onto the MP3 player. No software (like iTunes) required to use it.
-Rechargeable battery

CONS:
-NO CLIP: The optional silicone "skin" has a clip, but it's kind of weak and has a tendency to slide out of the silicone skin pocket and lose the player. Many times I've been running and had the player fly off into the bushes only to find the clip still attached to my waistband. I never had this problem with the Samsung or the iPod shuffle.
-NOT WATER RESISTANT: This is probably the worst aspect of this player. When this device is exposed to rainwater or sweat, the buttons short-out (i.e. one of the tuning buttons gets stuck in forward/reverse) until the player dries off. If I'm running in 90+ degree heat, I can expect about 15 minutes before the player malfunctions due to humidity/sweat exposure. Ironically, this problem is worse when the silicone skin is on the player (I say ironic because the skin is supposed to protect the device from moisture).
-NO SCREEN: not really a big deal for me, but some people like seeing how much battery is left, etc.
-BATTERY LIFE: I expected this to last longer on a single charge, but the longest I usually get is roughly 7 total hours of playtime before I have to recharge. Other small MP3 players I've had (like a Samsung, which had a screen, too) have lasted up to 14 hours worth of time.

COMPARED TO OTHER SMALL PLAYERS:

iPod shuffle- the Zen Stone is slightly larger, approximately same weight, worse clip. Zen Stone is MUCH easier to load with music. I prefer the Zen Stone

Mobiblu- Zen stone is easier to attach to your body, easier to use buttons without looking. Mobiblu is probably a better player, but not as easy to exercise with.

SAMSUNG clip on player- Samsung has a built-in clip, a screen, and can tolerate plenty of moisture. Although I've been trying to find a better player, this one is probably the best I've had.
SAMSUNG clip on MP3 player- easier buttons

Band works great the only thing I don't like is that you are not able to see the on/off spot.

i have big arms and it is very hard to find a band that will hold my mp3 player and fit on my arm. before I would have to hold it in my pocket with speaker on or clip to my shirt (falls off). Happy I was able to find them on amazon, and was able to get two. its good to have back up. however i do not like that i can not see the screen on the player. When this first cmae out the company's website showed the armband with two circle cut outs. (reason for loss of stars, it could have been 5.) I have never been able to find those. the screen has a nice display would be nice to see it when im using the band. I guess i will have to do it myself. i would still recommend this band to big armed people, even if your mp3 player cnt fit into the case, it can be removed.

I attached my headlamp to it then put it on my bicycle helmet. This strap is of good thick quality but the velcro closure is short in length. The rubber Zen Mp3 player skin is thin.I don't expect it to take much wear and tear or abuse and is not watertight.
