Creative ideas for supervision,
By CentralCA (CA) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Creative Supervision: The Use of Expressive Arts Methods in Supervision and Self-Supervision (Paperback)
I am an Art Therapist and new supervisor, so I was looking for books to help me be a better expressive therapy supervisor. There were several ideas that the supervisor could use to help supervisees understand their issues as a therapist, how to help their clients, and to gain more insight into unconscious material. Some people might find some of the ideas outlandish, and there were only a couple of techniques that I would consider using with my supervision group. One was to write an unsent letter to a patient using free-writing which may help the supervisee with countertransference awareness. The ideas are probably best suited to more open-minded supervisees.
