I loved the look on the cover of this book, so took a chance on purchasing it. I am so glad I did. When the book came, I was really busy, so I just put it on the shelf "for later". "For later" turned in to more than a year. When I finally found it on the shelf, I thought "Why did I buy this? It is much too hard for me". but then I started reading, and soon was so enthralled with the process that I read it from cover to cover, then headed for the quilting room. I chose the fabric, kept the book opened on the table, and made a beautiful small quilt! I have since made larger ones, using the same techniques, and have not had any problem at all with them. I had some scrap fabric that I didn't think I would ever be able to use, and shazam! I took a few pleats here, a fold there, a tuck somewhere else. Then I headed to the charity shop and found some old picture frames for $1. Put the "art" into the frames, added good backing and hanging devices, and gave them as gifts. Everyone RAVED about their gift, and they all want more, which they aren't getting from me, but I DID give them the name of the book and author! I LOVE this book!

I love everything Jennie Rayment has published. She gives you enough pictures with her descriptions of procedures so that you can reproduce her designs. She's a wonderful storyteller which adds an entertaining personal touch that is not usually found in 'How To' books. I enjoy all of Jennie's books and hope she puts another one together pretty soon. Although, I have been kept pretty busy with my last purchase, I anxiously anticipate more.

I found this book easy to read and follow. The author wrote in a style for both British and American readers. I have ordered another book by this author.
