5.0 out of 5 stars A must-have for crafters!, February 19, 2009
This review is from: Creative Ways With Fibre & Stitch (Paperback)
This book is amazing. It is packed FULL of inspirational projects. Each of the projects (about 15 of them), look so professional I would never belive I could actually make them......but the instructions are so clear and the big color photos guide you every step of the way. I know I can make these projects, and can't wait to begin!! The projects are new and fresh, and inspire me to create even more using the techniques taught in this book. The authors have done an amazing job....I highly recommend buying several copies....one for yourself and one for any of your friends who enjoy the fiber arts. Anyone would be thrilled to receive this treasure as a gift!

Creative projects and artistic endeavors often paralyze me. This book is so simply detailed and clearly written, that I find myself sailing through these non-fail projects, humming to myself. This book has truly unblocked my creativity, and I'm grateful these delightful teachers are so willing to share their secrets.

5.0 out of 5 stars Wonderful Projects!, February 20, 2009
This review is from: Creative Ways With Fibre & Stitch (Paperback)
I am familiar with the work of Sue Bleiweiss and Terri Stegmiller, but the projects in this book really blew me away! The tote bag made with dyed rayon velvet is gorgeous, and there are clear directions for making this, as well as great boxes, a painted canvas tote and fabric wrap journals. I really liked the attention given to fabric painting and text on textiles, and I can't wait to try the scrappy wrapped coasters. The book is full of beautiful projects and the inspiring photos are terrific!
