This review is from: Creative WebCam Instant (Electronics)
Summary:
I now have several of these web cameras and find them to be very capable. I'm currently using mine on an HP laptop running Windows 7 Ultimate. My laptop has a built-in webcam, but as with most built-in laptop webcams, the quality stinks. The Creative WebCam Instant is a HUGE step up from that. Most webcams need good lighting to work well, this one is no exception. In other words, use it in a well lit room for best results. You could get a high-quality camera for $80-$100, but if you want to save a bundle and don't require crystal clear pictures (like HD), the Creative WebCam Instant is a steal. It should be noted that although you can use this webcam with Windows Vista and Windows 7, it's for 32-bit operating systems only. One last thing, this webcam has no built-in microphone. I actually like that fact, but you'll want to make sure you have a microphone or a headset if you want to use this for video conferencing.

USES:
- Video conference with friends, parents/grandparents, kids away at school
- Upload videos to YouTube
- Send video-mail
- Set up a Nanny-cam
- Home/Office/Store Surveillance
- Easily take your photo to post on Facebook or LinkedIn.

PROS:
- Good image quality and full-motion picture, ideal for video conferencing.
- Easy to use.
- Attractive design, white and gray casing.
- It mounts really well on any type of display, LCD, laptop, even CRT. It has rubberized parts to keep it in place.
- Extremely adjustable design, swivels up and down, side to side.
- A breeze to install, uses one USB connection.
- Comes with optional bundled software to extend the use of the webcam.
- It's compatible with all versions of Microsoft Windows including Windows XP, Windows Vista and Windows 7.
- At any price under $20, you can't go wrong. This webcam is easily worth $30.

CONS:
My only con is that it doesn't have auto-focus, but this is really minor as all you need to do is set it once and never worry about it again. Adjust the focus by turning the wheel around the lens.
