I've used this text for two years now to teach a university community education class offered by my school's English department.

Heather Hirschi offers a wealth of ideas on teaching writing and writing fiction. Thus, the book is a good tool for writers and writing teachers alike.

Developed out of her own experience teaching university community education courses, Creative Writing the Easy Way contains sections on getting started, elements of fiction-making, form and genre, and the ever-important process of revision. Included are useful exercises and examples from published works that add to the various topics.

A glossary of terms gives students of fiction writing the lexicon to discuss student works. All in all, the book offers a high return.
