I love my Zen and had my blind relative in her 90's with hearing aids use it to see if she could listen to books on tape. The sound quality is so good that we got her her own Zen. She can hear the books and no longer has to deal with cds or cassettes. Someone has to start the book on tape, but she has learned to use all the other buttons by feel. She is sharp and live mentally, so the Zen has been a godsend.

you will like this -- it will be hit or miss if it plays all your files -- if you can find it for 29$ refurbished it's great

I started using products by Creative and i find them to be extremely reliable. The Zen 2GB is great. It plays media formats not supported by other players within the same price range. I highly recommend this player. The quality of refurbished products sold by Creative is just amazing.

All u need is a memory card to add memory. Good enough for me since it replaced my 32 gb Zen that stoppped working unexpected.

I enjoy using it listing to my books. At first some people made fun of it being Pink but when I showed them what a black one cost and that I have mine in a black leather case. They began to see things my way. The lol was on them

I bought the zen as a "refurbished" unit. It quit after 2 months. Just wont come on, not sure why. I bought it cheap so it wasn't that big of a deal. I didn't contact creative, because I didn't really like the player anyway. It was very un-intuitive to use, Way to many steps to perform an action. The sound quality was great though.
