From Library Journal
This useful handbook provides beginning photographers with excellent information on light and composition as well as addressing practical concerns such as setting exposure, using aperture, and so forth. It includes chapters on cameras and equipment, the art of photography, photographing different subjects, processing and printing photographic materials, and special effects. The encyclopedic format along with effective illustrations makes the book a handy reference tool for all photographers. The price is also very reasonable, given the range of information covered. Highly recommended for school, public, and academic libraries.
