Shame on you Scott Jeffrey. This author doesn't have any original ideas. He is just rehashing material from other new age/inspirational authors. I am selling my book on ebay.

I really enjoyed this book and for a more detailed review, visit my blog http://waynehastings.blogs.com/offtheshelf/2008/07/creativity-revealed---a-review.html. I found Scott's book to be a tremendous kick in the pants to my own creativity. He does a fantastic job of giving the reader context and also practical advice on creativity. I would recommend this book to anyone.

Well presented book, a lot of helpful information. For myself.. i got stuck on the level of reasoning on Dr.Hawkins scale of conciousness. This is the reason i bought this book, to get to the level of creativity which calibrates above 400. I would highly recomend this book to anyone who is on the search of self expression/realization. Perception is a subjective matter, however, you will find a well presented ,research based information on the subject. it corresponds to my heart for sure..
Enjoy, Valeria ,[...]

5.0 out of 5 stars Not what I'd expected, but in some ways better, September 4, 2011

At first, you will read this book and think, "But what does all this have to do with creativity?"

Later, towards the end, you will feel like you have been let in on some pretty intense secrets of the creation process. A technique is not laid out, because as the author explains, that is all linear and left-brained. Creativity is more like channeling, letting the ego get out of the way and tuning in to the vast noosphere where all is created and where all creation comes from. This requires humility: the creative genius never takes credit for the great art or insight that comes through him.

I learned some powerful stuff from this book: for one thing, get rid of the email addiction. It actually blocks creativity, as all busy-ness does!

Also, contrary to so many of the "law of attraction" books that are so popular: too much desire keeps you at a low level of consciousness and can actually block creation. You should have intention, and let the desire quietly incubate so that you can align to the appropriate Thought Attractor which will guide you to the best action.

4.0 out of 5 stars A Top Tier Volume on Creativity and Inspiration, July 30, 2010

This review is from: Creativity Revealed: Discovering the Source of Inspiration (Hardcover)
I have been reading widely about creativity recently (and more books on the way). Like any topic, there's the good, the not-so-good, and well, the other stuff.

Scott Jeffrey's work, Creativity Revealed - Discovering The Source of Inspiration by clearly stands above the rest. The sheer magnitude of voices he invites into his discussion about this topic provide a flavor that is both unique and enduring. However, it's not overwhelming. The appendices to the volume are robust and incredibly beneficial.

Here are a few of my favorite quotes from Scott Jeffrey:

"The sun is always shining, we need only remove the clouds." P. 132

"For the light to enter, the mind must wander." P. 131

"creativity is our natural state, not an anomaly that arises from time to time." P. 131

"The true Student can be an expert in his field or a master at his craft; however, he still possesses the willingness to grow, a gratitude for his gifts, and a sense of profound humility for his own ignorance." P. 104.

"Thoughts , as it turns out, are energy. Each thought has its own vibrational frequency. As human beings, living in the physical world, we tend to ignore the formless. If you can't see it and can't measure it, it's not real, the material reductionist believes." P. 84.

"Whether to create that which is heavenly or hellish is the constant human option." P. ii.

This book serves as a reference guide to future exploration of the topic of creativity. Buy it. Devour it. Refer to it. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS WORK.

4.0 out of 5 stars Lots better than I originally thought, February 12, 2010

After reading an excerpt I thought of this book as another one that would accompany the other creativity books on my bookshelf. After receiving it, and reading it, I realize it is much more than a typical creativity book - it spans and covers so much. If I was teaching, I'd be reccomending it to my class are required.
