It's the perfect size for those small eager hands. We also really liked the allowance book that came with it; very usefull and a great idea.

My 4 y.o. wanted a piggy bank she could paint herself, and I thought this would be perfect. She was SO happy with it- she painted it the night she got it. The paints are great, the size is fine. The only problem is that the paint started flaking off pretty soon after it dried!! I would suggest getting some kind of spray sealant so that your child doesn't get as upset as mine did when her beautiful painted pig started flaking the next day.

My eight year old daughter who loves anything crafty got this for Christmas. She loved it. It's pretty basic and takes little time to do just open the enamal paints, paint your pig anyway you want it, and let it dry. It also comes with a little book and star stickers for chores/rewards. I would recommend to anyone who has a craft nut in the house.

With so many of the schools losing their art departments and/or classes; this is a great way to spend time with your little one. In my case it was my "grand-daughter". Even at the age of 3, I put a big t-shirt on her, opened up the paints and gave her several paint brushes for the different colors. She had a wonderful time and so did I, it gave us unforgettable memories.

I have a great memory of the kinds of toys that I loved as a kid, and that memory has always helped me be right on target for the best toys to buy as gifts.

One of the best things I ever had was a ceramic piggy bank that I got to paint (pink), give him a smiling face, and carefylly paint on my name as an added, special touch! It was a "real" professional-looking piggy bank made for me and by me to hold all that money that was MINE, MINE, MINE!

Every extra nickel and dime I could make around the house was added to that bank. After a while, I was stunned to realize that I had acquired more than $20.00 -- back then, that could just about pay off the national debt. I rewarded myself with some stuff I had been dreaming about: Nancy Drew books, some spiffy yarn to make a scarf, and a couple of Katy Keene comics. (Oh, Gawd, am I old!)

There was still money left over. I put it back in the piggy bank and started saving again. The most important thing I ever got from that bank was a lesson about the value of money -- how hard it is to come by, how easily it can go, and that if you ever want any more "stuff," you'd better control your spending!

You'll pardon all my nostalgic rambling, but I just want to say that the Creativity for Kids Allowance Bank is a lot more than a toy. It's a life lesson that will last a lifetime.
